Armchair model Feltri designed by Gaetano Pesce by Cassina in Italy

The legendary italian designer's unlimited imagination has conjured up everything from onion chairs to otherworldly structures. The feltri armchair designed by gaetano pesce is a one-of-a-kind piece, coveted by collectors. None of gaetano pesce's furniture has an internal support structure. The frame of gaetano pesce's feltri chair is made entirely of felt infused with epoxy resin. The chair's flexible back is covered in quilted upholstery and can be adjusted to bring the chair's arms closer to the user for a more ambient feel, or spread out like a throne. Feltri was created at the cassina research center, a place synonymous with experimentation and avant-garde design thinking, where gaetano pesce devoted time and thought to the project, inventing a new complex manufacturing process that was later patented by the company. Seat width 54 cm. The armchair is preserved in its original condition. The quilted upholstery has discoloration from the sun.
