Miniature Chinese Cloisonné Vase, Dragon Chasing Flaming Pearl, Oriental Art, Asian Home Decor

A miniature chinese vase from the 1980s made through a technique called cloisonné: the brass vase is covered with raised metal strips that are filled in with coloured enamel, fired in a kiln and then sanded to create a smooth, even surface. This vase depicts a dragon that is chasing a flaming pearl, a well-known chinese symbol stemming from a folklore tale. The vase is in perfect shape, only 13 cm tall and is adorned with beautiful, striking colours. Apart from the dragon, other old chinese symbols can be found in its decoration, such as lingzhi mushrooms, symbolising immortality.
