Sublime pair of vintage chrome metal floor lamps, in the so-called “athenian” corp shape with four chrome metal pillars placed on a square black stone base. Each basin has two large base e27 screw bulbs. Attributed to the house of eichholtz an athenian is a piece of furniture dating from the end of the reign of louis xvi, having the shape of a basin supported by three legs and serving multiple purposes. Under the empire, the athenian became a utilitarian piece of furniture. Its three legs, generally made of metal, support a basin and an ewer, that is to say a bowl and a water pot. Period: 20th century style: art deco circa: 1970-1980 dimensions: height: 188cm X width: 40cm X depth: 40cm this delightful pair of floor lamps illuminated for many years a jewel of the hotel industry and one of the most famous and most luxurious palaces in the world.
