early 19th century Antique copper milk can

This special antique French milk can, also known as canne à lait, was used in the 19th century to transport milk from the farm to home or to the market. It is a handmade piece, made of yellow copper, and is exceptionally large in size. What makes it unique is the warm, weathered patina combined with the many old repairs that are visible. These traces of use and repair give it a characteristic and authentic appearance. The dating is around 1820-1850.
