Pair of 19th century Louis XVI style putti candlesticks - bronze & marble

Very beautiful pair of louis XVI style candlesticks, from the second half of the 19th century. Manufactured in bronze, original gilding in very good condition. White marble base; some wear including 3 small tears on the back of the candlesticks, therefore not visible from the front (see last photo). The winged putti carry the arms of light. The latter are finely decorated with acanthus leaves, vine branches and laurel branches. The base of the candlesticks is enriched with a scroll and pearls. The bronzes are finely chiseled by hand, a guarantee of high manufacturing quality. Note on an arm of light, a slight deformation but not serious for the harmony of the whole (see penultimate photo). The whole thing is complete and perfectly stable. Dimensions: height: 24.00 cm width: 17.50 cm depth: 10.50 cm total weight: 3.50 kg(s).
