octagonal porcelain cup from China with Taoist Ying Yang decoration - c. 1900

Superb and rare octagonal bowl on a foot in Chinese porcelain (late Qing / early Republic period, circa 1900). Famille rose and iron red enamels. Rare and symbolic decoration: Yin and Yang and Taoist iconography. Exterior decorated with flowers and a turquoise wave frieze. Apocryphal Daoguang red seal mark under the base. Condition: very good, no cracks, no hairlines, no chips, but some signs of use. Dimensions: diameter of 12.2 cm and a height of 4.8 cm.
