'Shogun Terra' floor lamp, Mario Botta, Artemide, 1980s, Italian

A floor lamp 'shogun terra' designed by swiss architect mario botta in 1986 for artemide. Two perforated shades allow you to control the distribution of light and avoid being blinded by light. The metal stem is lacquered white with black stripes. The black foot is made of cast steel. In pre-modern japan, the shogun was the supreme military leader of japan. The design refers to the traditional outfit of a shogun. This lamp remains in an original vintage condition almost flawless.
