Period: ca. Late 19th – early 20th century. The support of this elegant condiment service, with a neoclassical look, is made of shiny tin. The oval basket is provided with thin vertical openwork strips and round flower friezes; the edge as well as the feet are composed of rococo style rollers. The handle and classic shape (less shiny than the rest) also with rollers. The set is composed of six glass/crystal pieces. There are two bottles with cut caps, one of which has a double spout. A cylindrical pot with hinged lid probably for mustard. Salt and pepper shaker. A third sprinkler with a different lid (for sugar or spices like ground ginger). The lids and caps fit perfectly on a single bottle, and the bottles do not fit anywhere in the support since the sizes of the openings are different. The mix of neoclassical and rococo styles corresponds to the taste for historical eclecticism in vogue at the end of the 19th century. The butterfly screw under the foot is old. State: Very well. One of the plugs is chipped at the inner end (see photo) and one of them is probably a replacement since they are not 100% identical. The mustard lid has traces of corrosion and I think it may be a replacement lid since the metal is a little different from other metal covers. No spoon for mustard. Dimensions: see photo.
