Octagonal jam pot Desvres - Jules Verlingue - Rouen decoration

Octagonal pot with its lid and matching fluted display stand Desvres - Jules Verlingue. The set includes three elements: the lobed base plate, the octagonal pot with two small handles for gripping, and its lid topped with a fluted knob. Hand-painted decoration reinterpreting the Old Rouen style, featuring floral motifs and geometric fluting in shades of ochre, cobalt blue, and yellow. Mention of Rennes in the coat of arms on the pot. Stamped: handwritten monogram VJ for Jules Verlingue (period 1903-1920) as well as model number 883. Average condition: significant restoration marks, the display stand has three notable enamel losses on its central part revealing the pink terracotta and a chip on the edge. The octagonal pot has an old through crack that has been visibly re-glued (visible glue marks on the walls) and other hairline cracks (see photos). Display stand diameter 18.5 cm, pot diameter 9.5 cm, height 5 cm. Total height with lid 9 cm. Antique piece by Jules Verlingue in its original state.
