Living room table By Pietro Chiesa for Fontana Arte

Extremely rare living room table made by Pietro Chiesa produced by Fontana Arte in the 1940s. Fontana Arte is an Italian firm founded in 1930 by Lucio Fontana. Specializing in luxury and very high quality crystal furniture and lighting, gio ponti was its first artistic director, then giving way to pietro chiesa from 1933. This table made of walnut has a sculptural star-shaped base on the surface. A thick glass tray is placed on top. Tray dimensions 80/120cm. Table height 37cm. Condition report: it is in excellent state of conservation. Some light scratches on the base without significant visual impact. This table was produced in very few copies and only 5 or 6 tables have been presented at auction or for sale since 2010. It is a collector's item.
