This rare Danish mid-century corner shelving unit was designed by Poul Cadovius and made by Cado in the 1960s. Overall dimensions are H: 126 / W: 82/82 / D: 24 cm. The corner configuration is a particularly uncommon version of the well-known Cado wall systems and makes excellent use of otherwise unused space in the corner of a room. The set consists of three teak shelves mounted with black-painted metal hardware and three solid wood rails. The shelves can be arranged to create a practical space for your books and decoration, regardless of its size. Original Cado corner sets of this type are rarely found today, making this an interesting example for collectors of Danish mid-century furniture. The combination of teak and black metal gives the unit a simple and functional appearance characteristic of Cadovius' designs. The set consists of: A shelf: 24 cm depth, Two shelves: 20 cm depth, Three solid wood rails: 126 cm, Black painted metal hardware. The shelving unit has been renovated and remains in perfect vintage condition, with minor signs of use consistent with age. The original “Made in Denmark” markings have been preserved on the shelves.
