Functionalist / Bauhaus Flush Mount or Wall Lamp, 1940s

This Bauhaus light can be used either as a flush mount on the ceiling or as a wall lamp. A smooth, domed opaline glass shade sits in a cream-painted metal ring on a dark Bakelite base. The contrast of the materials gives the lamp a clean, functional look typical of the Bauhaus. The opaline glass spreads a soft, even, glare-free light, so the lamp works well in hallways, bathrooms, kitchens or any interior where you want quiet, period-correct lighting. The lamp is in good vintage condition with minor signs of age consistent with use. It has been rewired and is compatible with US wiring. 40W, E26-E27 bulb socket Up to 2 items available.
