English Art Deco wardrobe

Charming little english wardrobe inspired by art deco, with a compact format, its rounded curves on the top and bottom reminiscent of the shape of a cloud, and its light color. This wardrobe has a central door decorated with carved patterns, which opens and closes easily, using a small latch. This latch is original, while the handle has been replaced by a second-hand one, from the same period as the piece of furniture. The exterior has been sanded and painted in a bright and warm beige (unikalo professional quality paint, bio-sourced range), then protected with a colorless varnish. The interior is modular: originally the fixed shelf at the top was installed, as well as a small sliding rod that allows the piece of furniture to be used as a wardrobe (see photographs). Two removable plywood shelves on racks were then added. The bottom has been covered with high-end wallpaper with butterfly patterns. Nb: this item is an antique item sold second-hand and restored by hand. It therefore naturally presents irregularities as well as traces of time and its experience. This is precisely what makes its charm and gives it a unique character. In particular on this wardrobe: - some very discreet lacks on the veneer wood, especially at the level of the feet (see photos); the door retracts slightly at the bottom left and reveals the rod on the side of the body of the furniture. This does not hinder opening and closing in any way and does not harm the aesthetics of the furniture (see photo). - the wood shows some small traces of woodworm, especially on the underside. A treatment against wood-eating insects has been carried out and the wood is now perfectly healthy. - the top of the furniture shows surface irregularities and a small detachment (see photos).
