Hollywood Regency Mid Century Modern table lamp

Magnificent chrome lamp in Hollywood Regency style, from the mid-20th century (1960s), of French origin. The lamp features a fluted column inspired by classical architecture (Doric/Corinthian style) in a mirror chrome finish, with two arms. The upper mast has a central turned piece in a beige/caramel tone that mimics Bakelite or veined resin, topped with an elegant ornamental ring in the shape of a pierced bow. Beneath each shade, there are crystal cups in a vibrant ruby red, complemented by a punched metal skirt housing small red cabochons or beads. Two frosted opaline glass globes with exquisite engraving or geometric frieze inspired by Greco-Roman design. The upper finish of the shades is ruffled or scalloped, which softens the light and creates a very cosy atmosphere when lit. In very good condition.
