"skall'' is a sculptural ceramic object in which form and skin are in dialogue. The double opening suggests functionality, but the object transcends the vase shape through its intuitive, organic modelling. The subtly matt glossy skin in soft beige tones is broken here and there by whimsical, deep black smoke trails. These spontaneous markings give the work a lively texture and make each copy unique. The ceramic looks almost folded, like a moment of fusion or stillness, in which tension and softness coincide. The work invites you to touch it, but on closer inspection it also reveals the vulnerability of the material. "skall'' seeks the boundary between utility object and autonomous form, between control and letting go. Country of origin: presumably the netherlands. Maker: unknown. Height: 13 cm. Width: 21 cm. Depth: 15 cm. This item can be sent by parcel post.
