"the silhouettes" Miklos Bokor 1993, Mixed media, oil painting on panel. 97x87cm. Miklos Bokor is a French painter of Hungarian origin in March 1927 and died in Paris on March 18, 2019. Very close to the poets Yves Bonnefoy and André du Bouchet, Miklos Bokor's work is populated with silhouettes that emerge from the painter's memory, from the origins of humanity to the most contemporary history. Miklos Bokor shared his life between his Parisian studio in La Ruche and the lot where he had bought the Maraden church, which he had completely restored by creating frescoes on the interior walls. Miklos Bokor exhibited regularly at the Ditesheim gallery in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and at the Guillaume gallery in Paris. In 2014, the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris exhibited eleven very large formats by Bokor. The artist's last exhibition took place at the Guillaume Gallery in November 2018.
