Louis-Marie Londot, abstract painting, oil and concretions on panel No. 16, 1963. Oil and concretions on panel. Abstract work created in 1963, characteristic of Louis-Marie Londot's plastic research around matter and texture. Belgian artist active in the 1960s, Londot explored the expressive possibilities of the surface by integrating elements in relief into his compositions. Biography: Louis-Marie Londot was born on March 11, 1924 in Namur (Belgium) and died on December 15, 2010 in Bioul (Belgium). Master of polychromic sacred art, he evolved towards abstract art with simple and even sometimes anecdotal subjects but an art always dominated by colors and the artistic richness of their contrast. He then evolved towards Pop Art and participated in the 'Pop Art' exhibition at the Palais des Beaux Arts in 1965 in Brussels. The 'Maison de la culture' in Namur dedicated an exhibition to him in 1978 and a catalogue was published in 2005 during an exhibition dedicated to him at the Maison de la Culture in Namur.
