Farm bench in oak, circa 40s/50s

How not to fall under the charm. Large vintage French farmhouse bench from the 1940s/50s. This handmade piece was crafted in Périgord. It is made of oak and chestnut wood and features a long seat resting on four wooden legs, which are attached to the seat with an old fastening system typical of the era. The piece is in good original and vintage condition, with, of course, marks and signs of age and previous use proportional to the time, as well as a patina of time on the overall structure, the seat, and the legs (see photos). There are old marks and traces of woodworm throughout the structure (see photos), so the piece has been fully treated, then coated with linseed oil and waxed for optimal protection, as well as to nourish and protect the wood. The piece is solid and stable. With a bio, it is a large accent piece, with an organic, clean, and elegant design that will work well with other vintage, contemporary rustic, modern, or wabi-sabi decors.
