Made of beech wood, their unusual design makes them instantly recognizable. This is the famous and iconic "seagull" model by Baumann. What a great technical challenge it was to create this airy chair with a bold and graphic design. Formerly used in bistros, they have become emblematic of 70s design and are making a comeback in our interiors, bringing a touch of elegance and design. Produced in the 60s, the "seagull n°18" chairs, with a seat pad, use the thermoformed plywood technique, which gives them their characteristic and ultra-comfortable curve. Its rounded backrest pierced with a large oval is somewhat reminiscent of the shape of a bottle opener. It is fixed at the back by three bolts, two at the seat and one on the reinforcement hoop. A wooden hoop reinforces the four slightly curved and tapered legs. Its style is timeless and organic, the seagull chairs are an iconic model of the baumann brand.
