The Danish lighting company Lyfa was founded in 1924 under the name of The Og Lysekronefabrik Lamp at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1930, they changed the name to Lyfa and began producing table lamps inspired by Poul Henningsen's PH series for Louis Poulsen. After the war, the company collaborated with several renowned architects and designers to produce minimalist and sculptural "Space Age" minimalist and sculptural lamps, especially coloured glass, plastic and enamelled aluminum. In the middle of the century we can count Michael Andersen, Acton Bjorn, Claus Bonderup, Piet Hein, Klaus Helweg-Larsen, Simon Henningsen, Finn Juhl, Nils and Eva Koppel among Lyfa's collaborators. Lyfa merged with danish lighting competitor Fog-Mrup in the mid-1970s.
