This elegant and exceptionally comfortable “Channel” lounge chair, designed by Geoffrey Harcourt for Artifort in the 1970s, is an iconic example of European mid-century modern design. The chair features Harcourt’s signature ergonomic form with integrated armrests, a smooth swivel (pivoting) mechanism, and rests on a stable steel base that has been professionally repainted. Expertly restored, this example has been newly upholstered in Larsen “Sahara” wool fabric, a premium textile renowned for its durability, refined texture, and timeless appeal. Thanks to its excellent ergonomics and supportive armrests, the chair is exceptionally comfortable and also highly suitable as a desk or workspace chair, combining functionality with sculptural design. Customization options are available. Alternative fabrics or colors can be selected upon request. We also have unrestored examples of this model in stock. All restoration work is carried out by professional upholsterers and specialists to the highest standards. Please contact us for available options and bespoke possibilities.
