A fantastic set of four of the exceptional d 96 chairs from tecta. The chairs, with their minimalist lines, are in very good condition. The chrome-plated tubular steel frames show only minimal patina. The upholstery is made of a sand-colored mohair/velour fabric, suspended from a black elastic band, and is in good condition. The bands are in good condition and show minimal signs of wear. The architect hans könecke designed various pieces of furniture for dk moebles in his studio in caracas and founded the tecta factory in lauenförde in the late 1950s. Here, he designed numerous pieces of furniture using his favorite material, plexiglas, such as the famous d49 chair. He designed the d96 chair in the late 1960s as a dining room chair and a version as a lounge chair. An investment in design.
