Vianne glass lamp 46cm

Large vianne lamp base circa 1980 in midnight blue glass (royal blue when natural light passes through the glass) with open decoration (excess thickness) in the style of gallé, daum. The iris and dragonfly motifs are largely inspired by classic art nouveau themes. An interesting feature of this lamp is that it has double lighting, highlighting the patterns (the desired effect will depend on the intensity of the bulb placed inside). When lit, the lamp takes on contrasting blue shades while being transparent. Sold without lampshade. Requires a large base e27 screw bulb. Some friction marks on the glass.
