Very old rococo stool, late 19th century, completely carved, "cave" style with technical inserts, decorated with a scallop shell for the seat, as well as scrolls of foliage. We love this very unique piece of breton folk art. The stool will bring an authentic and offbeat touch to your interior! Very beautiful general details, curved base and sculpted spacer. The furniture being very old, we can see traces of worm molding. The stool has been completely treated and is perfectly sound. As this piece is old, it may have defects in the wood, a patina, etc. Please refer to the numerous photos. Cave furniture essentially consists of 4 elements - scallops, seahorses, dolphins and conchs. This style has a certain uniformity, and suggests that it was produced by a limited number of manufacturing workshops. - total dimensions - l 39 X d 40 X h 70 cm seat dimensions - 54 cm.
