Very pretty old swallow bench – chaise longue bench – Louis Philippe style. Small Louis-Philippe period daybed. To be used as a bench for a boudoir effect, or an extra bed for a child's bedroom. Very original with its opening system: ancestor of the convertible sofa. 1 movable armrest that can extend completely. Its reduced dimensions allow this piece of furniture to be accommodated in all interiors. Rests on small fluted baluster feet. The matching square cushions are missing to make an additional mattress in the open position. Polka dot patterned fabric: very fine fleur-de-lys. Unstained fabric. In the photos the pattern creates an optical effect. The fabric pattern is very graphic and reinforces the old spirit of the bench. To decorate with beautiful red cushions. Approximate dimensions.
