Large Chinese porcelain vase with elephant handles - apocryphal mark Qianlong - 37cm - Porcelain - Qianlong (1736-1795) Good condition - 37 cm Large Chinese white porcelain vase with polychrome decoration and gilded highlights. The vase is decorated with figurative scenes, flowers, birds, fish, and Foo dogs. The decoration includes areas with a gilded background. It has two side handles in the shape of elephant heads, with gilding. The base bears a six-character red seal mark, Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi (Qianlong period). This mark is apocryphal, typical of Chinese productions from the late 19th to early 20th century. Condition • Very good overall condition • No chips, no cracks, no restoration • Minor wear and small losses of gilding, mainly on the handles at the elephant heads • Wear consistent with age
