From the napoleon 3 period, this piano stool is adjustable in height thanks to its central threaded rod. The seat is made of horsehair and burlap and can be covered with a velvet fabric, for example. The crafted legs can be painted black. Otherwise, leave it as is, with the marks of time accumulated since the 1870s, the period of manufacture.
