Floor shelf in Japanese lacquer and bamboo, 1900s.

Storage unit or shelf with 3 levels, from the 1900s. This freestanding shelf is made of blackened wood, lacquered and painted with Asian decorations. Each shelf is adorned with delicate foliage, flowers, and birds in ochre and red. Made with Japanese lacquer and bamboo, this Japonisme work is attributed to the Maison Perret & Vibert, which reused Japanese lacquers in its wooden and bamboo creations. Of small dimensions, it will delight lovers of this unique style that combines finesse and poetry. This piece of furniture is stable, robust, and very sound. It has undergone a complete renovation by a master cabinetmaker (Patrice Dersigny’s workshop). Despite the care taken in the renovation, there are still a few small imperfections related to the age of this piece.
