Vintage vase Bay Keramik Korsika – German ceramics from the 1960s

Superb vintage ceramic vase from the German manufacturer Bay Keramik, featuring the iconic "Korsika" design, created in 1959. Its sculptural hourglass shape, with a narrow waist and two flared sections, is characteristic of Mid-Century design. The abstract decoration in vibrant colours combines orange, burgundy, black, cream, and subtle shades of grey and green. The glaze effects and irregular transitions between the colours evoke an abstract painting. A beautiful piece of West German ceramics, equally decorative with flowers or displayed alone.
