Large lamp base with Louis XIV style zephyr heads from Lucien Gau, Paris

Magnificent and large louis XIV style lamp base, from the famous french bronzier: lucien gau. Manufacturer from faubourg saint antoine, in paris. Manufactured second half of the 20th century. Bronze construction. Original gilding and patina, perfect condition. The central shaft is decorated with 3 zephyr heads, laurel garlands, ribbons and acanthus leaves. The decorations are carved by hand, very beautiful work. The lamp is perfectly stable. Electricity installed and tested, functional socket and switch (for e27 bulb, maximum 75 watt); sold without bulb. Under the base of the lamp, the manufacturer's label is still present (see penultimate photo). Please note that this lamp base is for sale, new, on a site for more than €3, 000 (see last photo).
