Here is an adorable ceramic sponge holder, produced in sarreguemines in the second half of the nineteenth century, between 1860 and 1880. A rare and delicate object, as we rarely come across. It was one of the rooms of the toilet kits also composed of soap dish, basin, broc etc. The set is composed of a large container on which is placed a curved cup with holes. The decorations are also located on the bottom of the cup, it is even possible to make a drainer for your delicate fruits... Putting freshly harvested strawberries there would be magnificent. You will be able to turn it over and make a spawn flower, a display for aperitif skewers etc. In perfect condition. Diameter 19 cm. Height 9 cm.
