Large pair of Restoration period candlesticks from around 1820 with four light sources in bronze with double patina, gilded and burnished. Crowned with a central candlestick, three arms of light, decorated with scrolls, volutes, and acanthus leaves, support chalices with finely chiselled bobeches. The fluted shaft is enhanced by a column capital at the top, a delicately chiselled baluster base with acanthus leaf and palmette motifs, and a fluted shaft. Tripod base with lion's paws. Each candlestick has its original bobeche as well as a snuffer in the shape of a flame. A well-proportioned set with beautiful luminosity, these candlesticks with meticulous chiselling will impose their charisma through their large size and contrasting patinas. Very beautiful model and in excellent condition.
