Vases aldo londi rimini blue for bitossi of the 60s. Master ceramist aldo londi (1911-2009) spent most of his long career creating parts for the italian ceramic manufacturer bitossi ceramiche. Montelupo fiorentino, the hometown of londi, near florence, has been an important center of pottery production since the renaissance. In 1922, at the age of 11, londi began working for fratelli fanciullacci, the first ceramics workshop in the region at the time. After world war ii, londi became the artistic director of bitossi. He held this position for more than 50 years and created more than 1, 000 objects - vases, decanters and animal figurines.
