White glazed earthenware cache-pot, relief decoration imitating wickerwork. France, circa 1970. Cylindrical body slightly constricted at the base, lustrous white glaze, relief decoration mimicking a diamond weave — a technique known as "trompe-l'œil wickerwork" very popular in post-war decorative ceramics. Unglazed base in light beige terracotta, without visible mark. Factory production, unsigned. Height: 14.5 cm. Diameter: 17 cm. In very good condition. Glaze without chips or apparent cracks.
