Vase capron Vallauris decor geometric white background with handle and neck

This vase was made by roger capron. We are here close to an eared vase. It has a very stylized geometric décor on a white background. Capron roger (1922-2006). Professor of applied arts, capron was first interested in drawing. He discovered the work of ceramics in vallauris and created the callis workshop with robert picault. He founded his own studio in 1952 and sold his collections in the united states to the saks fifth avenue department store. He received awards in numerous international exhibitions in milan, brussels, cannes... From 1963, he gradually abandoned the shaped pieces for decorative tiles used in architecture: wall panels, building halls, shops. From the 80s, he turned to unique pieces and sculptures in raku. We report slight friction on the decor, small black traces on the handles and on the white background, ginning on the perimeter (visible in the photos), cooking defects above each handle, stains inside, two minimal ginning on the neck.
