Blown glass fruit bowl, cranberry centrepiece Jorge Mateus

This large blown glass bowl of exceptional beauty was made in the late 1980s by Jorge Mateus, a master glassmaker. This heavy piece of thick glass has an elegant and timeless design, a lovely cranberry colour at the ends, and a multitude of small bubbles trapped in the glass. Jorge Mateus, a recognised master glassmaker, worked at FLEURY 59111 WAVRECHAIN-SOUS-FAULX from 1987 to 1993 before moving his workshop to Palau-del-Vidre in the Pyrénées-Orientales.
