Old painting of a mountain landscape with a lake, oil on canvas 1890

Oil on canvas. In the bottom left, the date 1890 and an unidentified signature. (William Barry?) A vast landscape framing a valley between heath-covered hills, composed of rocks and low vegetation, crossed by a river. The predominantly brown tones of the vegetation dominate over the clarity of the river, still muted by the reflection of grey clouds. Framed in a period style.
