Head of the rampin horseman, cast from the louvre museum, in hand-patinated plaster. Dimensions (cm): h. 43 × w. 21 × d. 20 dimensions of the base (cm) h. 13 × w. 12 × d. 12 the rampin horseman is an archaic greek sculpture, circa 550 bc, in marble, representing a man on horseback. The louvre museum holds the head and the acropolis museum in athens holds parts of the body and the horse. Its name was given to it in reference to its first owner, georges rampin.
