Chokin traditional japanese art plate limited edition numbered (3472/7500) and signed. Chokin art has a long history in japanese culture. In the 12th century, chokin artists used this method of metal engraving to decorate samurai armor and weapons, depicting symbolic images of japanese culture. The peacock - kujaku in japanese - is a symbol of love, kindness and empathy; associated with a buddhist deity, kannon. This work was created by yoshinobu hara, a renowned japanese artist and student of master risho arita. Condition: some scratches not very visible. Description and numbering in english on the back.
