Magnificent religious wall medallion, old 19th century napoleon III style, medallion face of christ at calvary, wearing the crown of thorns, white limestone from the petrifying fountain, signed ragoneau (after) in the relief below, surrounded by a golden border, framed in a round black wooden frame under curved glass. 22.5cm in diameter, approximately 6cm thick. Metal attachment on the back for hanging. Very good general condition, frame restored with wood paste on the bottom and curved in its original color, shiny black, felt on the back new, limestone medallion broken at the top right, but held by the frame and the felt, very discreet defect. Restoration of the bottom of the frame and small discreet defects of the wood also. Very beautiful object. Approximately 650gr.
