In 1953, dutch industrial designer friso kramer signed this armchair that enters the collective memory: its simple lines and timeless design have survived the decades. The chair has a bent metal backrest and the curved armrest ends on the floor, while forming an aerodynamic v-like design with the other leg. At the time, it was produced using a special machine and a novel process, making it almost impossible to copy. The repose armchair with the revolt chair "revolt" became icons of dutch design from the presentation at the milan triennale in 1954. Kramer himself refers to it as "the most important step in [his] career". A few years later. While friso kramer inscribes his name in the history of design - and that of the netherlands - by designing other furniture, but also street lamps or mailboxes, the success of the revolt does not waver.
