These carpets are hand-knotted in workshops in the city of nain in central iran, near isfahan. They are usually very light with an off-white or dark blue base color inlaid with a central medallion. Their high knotting density and the highest quality materials make them luxury carpets. They are made in most sizes and are among the most beautiful carpets in the world, highly sought after by collectors. They contain silk elements, and the denomination 6la means that three pairs of threads were used for each warp thread. The wool used is called "kork" of high quality. This carpet is signed in the cartridge "habibian" The name of the master weaver, along with the origin of the carpet, can serve as a kind of trademark that allows conclusions to be drawn about the level of expertise and rarity of the carpet. Persian carpets made by particularly well-known and competent masters have become hard-to-obtain collectors' items, such as this one from 1950. Dimensions: 270x160 cm. Condition: good condition, color difference in off-white on the upper part depending on the direction of the carpet. The carpet has been professionally washed.
