Ceramic bottles

Ceramic bottles from the late nineteenth century, shot in a pottery workshop in ger in normandy. One of the bottles is marked with the potter's initial. Beige bottle height 27 cm circumference 27 cm. Brown bottle height 31 cm circumference 25 cm. Located in a region rich in sandstone clay and wood for the feeding of the kilns, the pottery of ger is structured in brotherhood from the middle ages. They reached their peak in the first half of the nineteenth century with 21 establishments that hired almost 700 people. They gradually disappeared at the beginning of the twentieth century with the arrival of other materials for containers.
