Typewriter Select Ferdinand Theule 40s

This small select machine (hermes paillard france) in its beautiful binder dates from the first portable models. It also has a real historical significance because it comes from the store opened in sète in 1924 (quai du bosc since renamed quai de la résistance) by ferdinand theule, engaged in the free france of general du gaulle, where he organized from 1940 clandestine meetings in the back shop. A street in sète is dedicated to him by name. It is in good condition, all the keys work, the original eraser has remained attached to the machine as well as the small keys of the binder.
