Superb pair of vintage lounge chairs attributed to the French designer Gilbert Steiner, emblematic of modernist furniture from the 1950s-60s. Chairs with enveloping lines, offering remarkable comfort thanks to a wide and deep seat as well as a slightly inclined backrest. Solid tubular metal base painted black. They are dressed in a very beautiful textured velvet fabric with a geometric pattern in warm tones of camel, bronze, and brown, adding a lot of character and a strong decorative presence. The craftsmanship is of high quality: solid structure, stable chairs, and perfectly usable immediately. No label or signature retained, but the stylistic attribution to Gilbert Steiner is consistent with models produced in France in the 50s/60s. Very good overall vintage condition. Some normal signs of age and use related to their antiquity. Fabric is clean and well-preserved. Structure is sound and robust. Dimensions: Height: 85cm. Width: 80cm. Depth: 90cm. Seat height: 38cm. Price indicated for the pair. Rare and decorative pieces. The last 4 photos in the listing are simulations, allowing for a better projection of their decorative integration (note that the proportions of these modified images are not realistic).
