Deruta, italy, 1960s. Large round dish scalloped in italian earthenware from deruta (signed on the reverse). Rich white and blue enamelled decoration of a couple of birds surrounded by foliage. Work of the middle of the twentieth century taking up a traditional decoration of the seventeenth century. Because deruta is a high place of earthenware production since the renaissance, its manufacture is located near perugia in umbria and its productions cross the centuries with great success.
