Ziegler carpet from the 1950s/60s. Large Afghan Ziegler carpet with floral decoration inspired by the famous Persian designs of Heriz and Sultanabad. Its elegant brick-red field with wide palmettes and stylised scrolls is framed by a beautiful celadon blue border, offering a refined and highly decorative contrast. The patinated shades and natural abrasches testify to the authentic charm of antique handmade carpets. Woven in wool, this carpet captivates with its balanced design, warm palette, and significant decorative presence. An ideal piece for a classic, bohemian chic, or contemporary interior. Condition: used condition. General wear of the wool due to age. There are five areas of wool loss on one side, as well as five others aligned on the opposite side, which do not detract from the beauty of the carpet or its durability.
