Vintage terrestrial globe Girard and Barrère - 1950s-60s - string base - Ref 1153

Superb terrestrial globe by Girard and Barrère from the 1950s/60s, featuring a cardboard globe and a black lacquered metal base. It is a very beautiful and authentic vintage piece, which has great decorative appeal. The softness of the material and colours allow it to be easily integrated into our interiors, and especially the metal base recalls "string" shelves and Scandinavian style, giving the object a lightness and a very successful design aspect.
