Hyacinth vase in slipware - Ref 1157

Magnificent antique hyacinth vase, late 19th - early 20th century, in barbotine with a rose motif (flower, leaves, and bud) on a sky blue background. Featuring two opposing handles in a distinctly Art Nouveau style and resting on four feet, it has a bulging part at the mouth that allows for the placement and blooming of a hyacinth bulb! There are some losses in several places, visible in the photos, related to its age and multiple lives, but these do not detract from its great decorative potential!
