Office Pierre Guariche

Elegant desk model Président designed by Pierre Guariche, here in reissue. Its wide teak veneered top, with clean lines, rests on a chromed metal base in the shape of an X, a signature of 1960s modernist design. Functional and minimalist, it offers two discreet drawers and a niche on one side, and a large niche on the visitor's side; perfect for organising the workspace while maintaining a great visual lightness. Pierre Guariche (1926 - 1995) was a major figure in post-war French design. Concerned with the needs of the displaced, he designed modern furniture to be produced in series at accessible prices. In 1962, he created the Président desk for the publishing house Minvielle. This time, he targeted the business leaders of the Trente Glorieuses, who symbolised French economic prosperity.
